- Care for the bush, Tread Lightly and leave no trace of your visit.
- Take out what you take in. Remove all rubbish.
- Do not burn cans or bottles in campfires as they do not burn.
- There are no rubbish bins in the bush so carry plastic bags for your rubbish.
- Be self-sufficient with drinking water. Carry it in and/or know how to make untreated water safe for drinking.
- Camp at least 20 metres from any stream, lake or reservoir
- Dispose of any dirty water away from streams and waterways.
- Do not use soaps, detergents and toothpaste in or near water sources so fish and wildlife aren’t harmed
- Use toilets where provided or bring your own portable toilet.
- If there are no toilets, walk at least 100 metres from water sources and campsites, dig a hole 15 centimeters and cover or take home waste.
- Bury or take out your toilet paper, do not leave it lying around.
- Light fires in designated fireplaces and extinguish with water until cold to touch.
- Do not cut down trees only use fallen timber or bring your own firewood.
- Use a fuel stove where possible as it’s safer and better for the bush.
- Respect other bush users and leave the area as you would like to find it.
