b'to Mount McCall (760m).Our focuswas mainly on a slow, rocky at times, wet and uneven track as the weatherhad closed in, it made for limitedsightseeing. We ended up back atLake Burbury for camp to enjoy a fewdrinks and warming fire.14-3-2020 Saturday:After leavingLake Burbury we headed for Strahan. The sun finally appeared, and wecamped at Mahoneys campsite atMacquarie Heads by the beach.Itwas nice to get things dried out in thesun. The rain returned in the evening, but we did hear a Tasmanian Devil aswe went to sleep. 15-03-2020 Sunday: MacquarieHarbour beach driving up to DevilsGates was fun, and the sand wasquite firm with only a few small creekcrossings to negotiate.Back throughStrahan and on to Zeehan. We arrivedin Zeehan before lunch and checkedout the Caravan Park - not bad at all -so decided to set up camp.Viz, Baz& Macca set off to the MontezumaFalls and found the track impassable,so plan B was to hard top it to thefalls and walk; 8km return on the signdidnt deter us, as it was a reasonablylevel old railway line, still, didnt stopBaz from cracking a rib, grazing hisknee and bloodying his hand; he wasa sore lad. Concern for Baz and hiswelfare was paramount and wemanaged to return to camp safely.BTW the Walk and the Falls areamazing and should be on everyoneslist.16-3-2020 Monday: Climies Track The early plan was to drive this tracksouth to north and then return.
