If that wasnt enough, itseemed that I had continued to travelon it long enough to cook the tyrebeyond repair. Admittedly it was myfirst flat tyre.like ever.so I suppose itwas forgivable, but the pressure wason to change it as we had trafficbanking up behind us and also infront coming from the other direction.and I was blocking the lot. Thankfullymany hands made light work ofchanging the tyre and we got going inshort order, but I was still ratherannoyed with myself that I had killed a$300 tyre less than an hour into a 4-day trip, and now had no spare.Thinking back, the impressive fist-sized hole in the sidewall meant thatthe tyre would have been unre-pairable anyway. Oh well.Moving on from the scene of thecrime, we turned off at Monumenttrack to head towards Bindaree. Mykids had never been to the falls, so Istopped there to let them check it outwhilst the rest of the convoy headedtowards our lunch stop. For those who Sunset on Mt LovickTRACKWATCH DECEMBER 2021 7'
