b'CLUB SPOTLIGHT MELBOURNE JEEP OWNERS CLUBMT SKENEABY: BY BECKIE MAIWALDSATURDAY 2 AUGUST 2025crisp winter morning greeted MJOC members as we gathered at the Jamieson General Store at 8:30am. With steaming coffees and bacon & egg rolls in hand, the excitement was building for our snowy adventure ahead. The temperature sat at a brisk -1C, but the clear blue skies promised a perfect day.Two convoys, totalling nine Jeeps each and around 30 enthusiastic members, departed in search of snow along the scenic Jamieson-Licola Road. With the UHF buzzing, a friendly guessing game kicked offwho could predict the exact altitude wed first spot snow? Guesses ranged from 900m to 1400m, keeping spirits high as we climbed.Sure enough, just past 1400m, we caught sight ofnever seen snow before, joined the fun, bounding snow on the roadside. The radios lit up with excitedthrough the snow with the kids. That said, after 20 chatter, talk of snowball fights, and plans for theminutes of play, he wisely opted for the warmth of Junior Jeepers to build snowmen. The anticipationthe Jeep again.turned into pure joy. Snowball fights and snowman building followed, After about 90 minutes on the road, we reachedfilling the air with laughter and cheer.
