Seasonal Road Closures are in place to ensure we continue to have access to these tracks during the drier months. They were introduced many years ago to avoid vulnerable tracks being closed permanently. Please respect our continued access to these tracks by not driving on them.

Many roads and tracks are seasonally closed to vehicle traffic each year. These tracks are closed for visitor safety, to maintain water quality and prevent damage and erosion during the wetter months as rain and snow softens the tracks, making them vulnerable to damage.

Seasonal road closures generally operate after the long weekend in June through to the end of October, but may be closed early or extended due to seasonal conditions.

Heavy penalties apply if you drive on seasonal road closures. These roads and tracks may have gates, barriers or signs to identify them but then again they may not so make sure you download the list and maps of the area being visited. The complete seasonal closure list and maps are available here- https://www.4wdvictoria.org.au/ind…/resources/track-closures
