Four Wheel Drive Victoria have been notified of the following temporary closures at Erskine Falls and Lemonade Creek Walking Track
• Lemonade Creek Walking Track was closed, due to major timber rot and instability to a bridge and boardwalk which has caused unsafe access for visitors.
• Erskine Falls walk from the Erskine Falls carpark - Erskine Falls lower lookout remains closed due to unsafe conditions.
• Please note that Erskine Falls can still be viewed from the top lookout which provides views across to the falls or by taking the strenuous 15.3km return walking track from the Lorne township to the base of Erskine Falls.
Replacement works to repair the access to the lower lookout at Erskine Falls is funded through the Victorian Great Outdoors program and planning for the replacement has started. Parks Victoria staff are working with contractors at Lemonade Creek walking track over the next few weeks to assess damage and plan for funding for repairs.
