Not everyone wishes to be a member of a four wheel drive club but many people still desire to support Four Wheel Drive Victoria in its endeavours to maintain access to 4WD tracks and education of the Tread Lightly principles of four wheel driving in a sustainable environment.
Four Wheel Drive Victoria works closely with Parks Victoria and Department of Energy Environment and Climate Action (DEECA), is a member of the Ministerial Four Wheel Drive Advisory Committee and also has a Memorandum of Understanding in place with both Parks Victoria and DEECA which ensures direct access to and consultation with Land Managers and Government.
The Association has adopted the mantra of ‘Driving in a sustainable environment’ having regard to the interest of protecting the land in which we tour and supporting the communities through which we travel contributing to the State’s economic wealth.
Associate Membership is available to individual members of the public who wish to access the benefits and support of Four Wheel Drive Victoria membership. As an Associate Member you are covered under our Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance whilst participating on Four Wheel Drive Victoria authorised trips and events and you will have access to our 4WD Vehicle Insurance Scheme. You will be kept up to date with regular ‘e-news’ and receive our ‘Trackwatch’ magazine which is produced quarterly as well as access to our social media closed group.
Four Wheel Drive Victoria is a registered Training Organisation (RTO 21605) offering a range of both accredited and non-accredited four wheel drive training courses that may be offered a discount to Associate Members. Other courses such as first aid courses will be available at a subsidised rate. You will also gain access to the Jamieson-Licola Rd Permit System which operates during the Seasonally Closed Track period (subject to strict terms and conditions).
Associate Membership fees are due and payable on 30th June each year. The annual Associate Membership fee is $140 and is for an individual membership. A Four Wheel Drive Victoria vehicle sticker is included with your membership info pack. A Member Login will also be provided to our website www.fwdvictoria.org.au
