To further support four wheel driving, we are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 21605) and are registered to deliver nationally accredited courses and issue statements of attainment to participants who successfully complete our courses.

Benefits to you of undertaking four wheel drive training:

Four wheel drive vehicles have some amazing capabilities compared to an ordinary car. They offer travel and recreation opportunities that would otherwise be impossible.

However four wheel drive ownership comes with a greater responsibility than usual. Special knowledge and skills are required to help you minimise environmental impact and risk whilst maximising your recreational opportunities.

Public Driving Courses:

We offer a range of public driver training programs to suit both novice and experienced drivers.

Our training program includes a range of nationally accredited courses for those needing a formal qualification, to meet employer requirements. The accredited courses are longer and include formal assessment of participants in order to ensure their skill and knowledge are to the standard required by the qualification. Once you have been assessed as satisfactory, you will receive a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment for the units you have undertaken.

We are currently offering the following nationally accredited units-

  • FWPCOT3325  - Operate a four wheel drive vehicle on unsealed roads
  • FWPCOT3326  - Recover four wheel drive vehicles
  • FWPCOT3329  - Perform complex four wheel drive operations operations

If you are bringing a manual vehicle, proficiency in the operation of a manual vehicle is a pre requisite to attend this course.

Existing skills and knowledge may be recognised towards your qualification. This is done via a “Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)” process.

Students are required to undertake a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) self assessment prior to enrolling.

Information on RPL and the LLN self assessment can be obtained by contacting the office on 9874-7222.
